Кіма затрымалі 3 лістапада 2020 г. і абвінавацілі ва ўзломе камп'ютарнай сістэмы Мінгарвыканкама. 28 студзеня 2022 г. Кіма Самусенка асудзілі да 6,5 гадоў калоніі агульнага рэжыму, а яго роднага брата Аляксея Самусенку - да 4 гадоў калоніі агульнага рэжыму.
